hi,
ive been lurking here for a bit,im 38 and ive made the odd comment now and then, a social worker i see was pretty sure i had aspergers even though i had never heard of it and as of 2 hours ago i had a specialist take less than 50 minutes to go yep you have aspergers and then said he doesnt usually diagnose people in the first session.

ive always had my doubts, what if the social worker was wrong even if things did seem to fit but yeah having it confirmed today. has left me feleling.. i dont know how i feel about it

Yea I feel ya. I've pretty much "known" for a couple years but just recently came to terms with it.... I dunno. For me it's really freeing. Don't have to worry about things like, "what am I doing wrong" or trying to come off as "normal"... I'm not. I'm just this crazy guy that doesn't realize the way people perceive me, and why should I have to? The world would be a better place if people as a whole worried less about superficial "perceptions".
