Hi everyone! :)

I'm new to the site. . . Trying to build better communication skills to sort of 'come out of my shell' a bit and the articles & posts on this site have been so helpful! I've just recently stumbled upon the realization that I (most likely) have asperger's/high-functioning autism and it's actually been quite a refreshing experience! I'm finally finding some explanations and much needed answers for so many issues that I've been dealing with my whole life. I'm engaged to an amazing guy (my high school sweetie going on 8 years) who is also most likely on the autism spectrum, we're so much alike and it's been so comforting to be able to have a 'buddy' to face the awkward and sometimes painful social situations that come with this disorder.

Working on getting diagnosed, though it seems like a mere formality at this point! . . . Any other Aspies out there w/o a diagnosis?

Dear Peace Frog, Welcome and Congratulations! How many Aspies wish they shared their lives with a partner who truly did understand the quirks and compulsions we experience! I am happy for both of you! You asked about others w/o formal dignoses (did I just make up a word?), I finally did some online research, hit 9 out of 10 symptoms on 1 list, and on an online test scored 147 out of 200, and here I am. Again, welcome, Sylkat. :D
