Hey everyone, found this site while looking for advice about college. Just recently gone back at 27 after 10 years and im struggling to pay attention and take anything in. just wondering if anyone had any tips?

Hey JCz0r!

First: Welcome to WrongPlanet and feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Second: For me, things that helped me pay attention in class:

1) get plenty of sleep--if I'm tired, I'm not paying much attention
2) Do the reading/homework/assignments--if you are exposed to the lecture, it'll be easier to follow
3) If you are having trouble, don't hesitate to talk to the professor
4) Take notes. I would always hand write my notes and they kept me occupied and awake and helped me follow the professor
5) Most colleges have a tutoring program in place and if you find yourself struggling--take advantage of it
6) Don't skip class!
