Hello,
I'm new here, just recently coming to the realization that I'm probably an Aspie. As the Aspie-quiz puts it on rdos-dot-net:
Your Aspie score: 161 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 46 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie
I don't really know how accurate that test is. I've taken the AQ one multiple times and my score seems to be in the low-40's generally.
Anyway... I certainly feel like I'm on the Wrong Planet sometimes. I have my own little world, though, and a great family... we are all different. My wife of 11 years is bi-polar and my 8-year old son is autistic. I have a newborn baby, also, who is quite an angel. We live on a small farm in Oregon. I'm currently unemployed but usually work as an internet engineer.
I'm curious to meet other people here, and perhaps learn about myself more. I'm just soaking in this Aspie information, but it does seem to put a lot of stuff in my life into perspective. I'm hoping if I learn more, I might be able to get over some of my work hurdles and get back to my career (I'm haven't worked in about 2 years). Also, it would be nice to figure out how to have friendships that aren't always work (or school) based that disappear when work (or school) changes.
