Hi,my name is Chris Camargo, nickname CMC,a brazilian aspie guy that overpassed all the "limitations" of Asperger Syndrome alone,without any psicho-doctors help.
I can communicate with all of you in english because I live once in United States (1998-1999),but I would like to excuse that ,as I stopped to write in english since 1999,my english now are very rusty,so please excuse me if you have difficulties on understand me and my grammar errors.
I am 49 years old and I am a professional writer with a 37 years o f carreer.
I wrote 65 books on my life, published 4 and won 3 literary contests.
Based on my lifetime experience as an aspie, recently I wrote a new book named "Proudly Autist-The Syndrome viewed from inside". There, have a auto biographical part,explaining how I get to overpassed both social and neural "limitations",then a part about how the interior gears and mechanisms of the Asperger mids really works,the misterious(for neurotypicals, of course) powers and meanders of aspie mind, then a part about my theories about Asperger, the main is the Theory of the 3 phases of the Asperger Maturation Process,That I will explain lately.Then have a part about guidelines to parents and teachers, in how to understand better aspie children.My book is about to be realised in July,2012 in Brazil, but I am planning to get into the American and European markets as well, so Now I am beginning to translate the book from Portughese(Yes,we brazilians don´t speak spanish, is portughese our native language)to english.I think Asperger is not a mental disease,but, instead, is a privilege,something to be proud about!I think that aspies have a very more complex and sofisticated reasoning and thinking,more brain plasticity, and more ability to overcome the limits,obstacles and difficulties Life imposes to everyone.I think there are mature and imature aspie people,and aspies that have successful into the Asperger Maturation Process can be highly social and finantialy indempendent, as well as completely autonomous people.
More, I think also that Aspies have a complex Phantasy Internal World, That mutates thru the person´s life and mature,and doctors must have to avoid try to extirpate this internal world from the patients, because the Phantasy Internal World is not the guilty of some psicho problems that some doctors think is exclusive for aspies(they are not, neurotypicals also have it).Well,I think I already spoke a lot, thank you for your attention!

Don't worry about your grammatical errors. Even those of us who are native to English make grammatical mistakes. I had no trouble understanding your post, and found it very interesting.

All of us on the Autism/Asperger's spectrum have hardships to deal with. One of the ways I cope with mine is through my very active day dream/fantasy life. I have always done this. They are not delusions, just mental "stories" I create for my own entertainment. A delusion is something at least partly false, or imaginary, that someone believes. I don't believe in my day dreams, but I do think they are a kind of mental stim for me.

I hope your book does well and I hope you like this site. I do!

Hey Chris, I'm Chris. Nice name. I skimmed over what you wrote, your post was practically a book so forgive me for skimming it. But hey, you're an author so writing books is what you do.

Chris, I skimmed over your large posting and I think being an aspie is being different with good and bad. My brother was an engineer and many of his friends were most likely aspies, I envy how they can plan and design, it's really amazing.
