Hi my name is Rachel. I am extremely interested in autism and would like to learn more about autism from people who have experienced it. I am interested in doing my training in Autism and Behavioral Sciences. I have worked with children with autism in the past and am currently working with a year old boy with autism. I also have a really close friend who has asperger's and I want to learn more about it and learn from people who actually live with it. I've done a lot of reading about it but there's only so much i can get from books and need to get directly from the people.

Thanks for the welcome

Well I was talking to my friend with asperger's and we were joking about our minds running around. And I was like i pick your up and put it my head so I can understand the way you think, and then we talked a bit and then I said that that would be weird what would I do if i had two brains in my head, and my friend said that is a good analogy for a meltdown and I was like really. Never thought of it that way but it really helped me understand what may be going on inside someone's head. What do you guys think of the analogy of having two brains in your head?
