Hi there! My name is Tracey. I have 3 children. I have a 3.5 year old daughter and twin boys that are 2.5 who have ASD.

The boys were diagnosed at 18 and 20 months, first by EI (called birth to 3 in my state) and then by Yale.

They present very differently. I have no idea the severity of their autism and I do not ask.

They currently go to an ABA school where they each get 1:1 therapy 3 hours a day. The school also has a typical preschool so my boys attend snack and circle time with the other kids.

They also each get 8-9 hours a week of EI, which includes 2 hours a week of speech, 1 hour of OT, 3 hours each of a specia led teacher and 3 hours a week with an ABA therapist.

They have made great progress since they started at school.

"A" is starting to talk - even putting 2 words together, like "more eat" or "open door". We are so proud and excited!

"G" is more severely affected, but he has also made strides. His ability to related has increased significantly and so has his eye contact.

I look forward to meeting people with similar challenges and happy to listen to anyone, no matter what the issue, to lend and ear.

: )

Welcome to WP

I also have twin boys - they are 2.4 years old and I have no idea if they are on the spectrum. I have aspergers myself, and I have an older boy, whom I am sure is somewhere on the spectrum.

I have been wondering how to find out if they (or one of them) are on the spectrum? My oldest have gone unnoticed thruogh the system, but I will try to get an evaluation of him at some time in the near future (not at the moment - for personal reasons).

My boys are identical twins and are they are really beginning to show different personalities. They are both talking and jumping and they are very kind towards each other (well, most of the time :pr: ). One of them is more dominant and one is more moms boy. He will follow me everywhere and loves going into the garden, do not like strangers and clings to me. I guess I will have to see how he develops.
