I should have joined this site when I first learned about it at a national conference in 2010. Just a quick scan of the topics makes me appreciate Alex and what he does here more and more.
My son was diagnosed with Asperger's about two years ago. Since then, I have read everything I could get my hands on and, since I was reading so much, started work on a Ph.D. in special education. I am now at the dissertation stage, and I hope to devote the rest of my working life to making things more comfortable for people with Asperger's and other ASDs. Reading all these posts will help me better understand people with Asperger's and, hopefully, better understand my son, his gifts, and his challenges.
Thank you to everyone who posts here. I can't wait to learn from you!
