While I am NT, I wanted to say hello here. I am an educator that hopes to possibly glean some useful advice in dealing with my students with IEPs that are Autistic Spectrum.

So, if I can gain anything useful, then I'm definitely grateful and willing to say thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I'm brand new here, too, and also NT, but married to a man with AS. I imagine you'll find lots of useful stuff here; I've been learning for years, being with my husband, but have already had a few "a ha!" moments in the couple of days I've been lurking around the forums.

So, welcome from me, too. :)

Hi!

Welcome to Wrongplanet!

It doesn't matter if you're NT! I think you will fit in very well here!

I hope you enjoy posting!

How old are the kids? Myself my cursive handwriting was unreadable (was even wipped as a result of it). So I would not require kids under 14 on the spectrum to use
cursive. From a practical standpoint you do not use cursive for anything other than
checkwriting and signing your name.

Freshmen, so 14-15. For anything long, I've been trying to get time in the lab for them to be able to type it. I'm a math teacher, however, so the writing assignments tend to be no longer than a paragraph.
