Hi all
This forum seems to be active so I am going to give it a shot. First of all please forgive any mistakes as English isn't my first language.
I have never been diagnosed with autism. I am only referring to what I've been told by friends and teachers.
I was born in 1989 so that makes me 23 years old now. I didn't have an easy life. At an early age my brother started beating me up and my parents never admitted that I suffered from it. I was bullied in school and never really had friends. I missed that a lot. There are things that normal people do in life that I didn't do and I feel completely lost sometimes.
Music helped me a lot get through it and my favorite bands are Switchfoot, The Kooks, James Blunt, Jon Foreman, Lifehouse, The prodigy and a few Christian songs. I listened to Slipknot and other violent music when I was a teenager.
My communication skills are good. I can express my opinions and I worked a lot on that. But I don't feel like talking to people much and live in my own world. I lack of empathy and I grew up to be a lone person.
I love languages and I can speak French fluently, English, Spanish and a few words of German. At school I had a special interest in maths and biology. I pursued studies in medicine but failed as in France the failure rate is almost 80 per cent. My parents always push me to do studies that they would be proud of so I am now in a business and management course.
I hope to know as much people as I possibly can on this forum. :)
