Hello everyone,

I am very happy to join Wrong Planet.
I found this site while doing research for an Autism Power Point presentation.

I have a son on the spectrum, but I am now wondering if perhaps I should also look into getting tested.

Anyone with insight on raising a child on the spectrum, what it is like to be an adult on the spectrum, and/or how to determine if you are on the spectrum as an adult is encouraged to reply/contact me.

I look forward to more interactions with you all in the future.

Welcome!

I have 2 sons on the spectrum. Like you, I had a longtime suspicion as to my own situation but never had the impetus to evaluate myself until my 2nd son was also recently dx'd. Just last night at the appt I was dx'ed with AS. I went to a reputable psychiatrist who was highly recommended by another doctor my husband went to school with. I also plan to get evaluated at the Seaver Center for a research trial they are conducting.
