Hello, new member today. I am 31 and found this site while ding some research. My Psychologist mentioned the Autism spectrum to me last week I think as a way to see my reaction and I really didn't know anything about the disorder except the popular horror stories my mom told me when I was young. Today, after a bit of discussion she decided to tell me that it would be a wise idea to find just where on the spectrum I am. She is thinking closer to Autistic then Asperger's but still high functioning. So yeah, not sure where to go from here.... I have mixed feelings about it but I am trying to keep an open mind and learn as much as I can. :) :?

Welcome! I'm fully successful and have a good life. The point being, autism is definitely not the end of the world. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks, ShelbyGt500, one of my fav cars. :D I know its not the end but a new beginning. Its just gonna take some time I suppose. I am wondering where the scores I see in the signature area is coming from? We have very few resources for Autism for kids and almost none for adults in my community.

This is a typical site for self-assessment: http://www.aspergerstestsite.com/75/aut ... Vzy3BmKteU

However, I used several tests over a period of time and averaged the figures. From what I can tell, the scores can vary a bit from day to day. I'd get a couple of opinions from specialists who have seen autism and Asperger's before. Just like ADHD, there is a lot of over diagnosis. That said, regardless of how things turn out, this is a great place.

I've actually got a 1970 GT500 fastback with a 428 and 4-speed. The color is "Grabber Orange." It's #4179, so it's 115 from the last of that era. I've only found one GT500 that is later and it is a powder blue convertible. Most of the last Shelbys were GT350s. It is possible that I have the oldest surviving GT500 fastback - I'm trying to find out. It's a garage car that I never drive.

She is a complex diagnostic specialist and I am getting another opinion tho I think she may have hit the nail on the head with it but we shall keep digging, lol. That car has to be amazing to be near...Sooo cool!
