Hello people,

I never knew too much about Aspergers, but randomly today on another forum, unrelated, someone posted a link to an aspie quiz. So for fun i took it, and it really seemed to think that i am an aspie. I read about it immediately, and watched youtube videos of aspies talking about their lives, and it really hit home! I feel like so many things make sense right now, and after monday we'll see if im right. I'm seeing my therapist. I've seen him about 5 times before in the last two months, to try to work out some relationship and life problems. But i need to see if he thinks this is possible.

Let's see: I become unreasonably obsessed about things, to the point where nothing else in life matters or will distract me. For example, last winter I learned how to knit, and spent weeks making a beautiful and intricate sweater. I hardly slept, missed classes, etc...
I typically find a new obsession every couple of months. Right now it's synthetic human pheromones. (pherotruth dot com)
I am clumsy as hell. I'm intelligent, and have learned how to socialize, but it's not natural. I'm a lone wolf.
I'm studying engineering. But I cant get past the few courses that don't interest me.
I'm great at drawing, and can get very good and accurate detail when drawing from life.
I love science and math, programming, linguistics.
I'm a little athletic: I love bicycling long distances and camping and hiking. Love nature. Quiet. Vistas.
I've gotten into tennis and am not half bad. Not great though.
Terrible with maintaining friendships. I dont return phone calls. Family either. I love them. Just dont have anything to say usually. They are hurt. I feel bad.

Oh yeah, I'm 32 years old, and live with a girlfriend of 3 years. We have may problems.
I'm a waiter and a bartender. I'm not too bad at it, over time I've learned what i need to do and how to do it well. Except i break alot of stuff. Even got fired once because of that.

Anyway, whether or not i turn out to actually have Asperger's, i still feel like i can really relate to you guys and your posts, and i hope to finally have found a place in this world where i feel like i fit in.
Wrong Planet indeed.
