Hello, my name is the Ace of Knaves. ~kinda obvious there nervous anime droplet~ I'm in my twenties, currently unemployed, had a job, but got laid off. I haven't been diagnosed with Aspergers, however, I have done extensive research on it. I became aware of it, when I read a blog by someone who had Aspergers and a light bulb went into my head and I was like, hey that sounds like my life. Everything they wrote down was exactly how my life went down. So I'm here because, my awkwardness...it's hard. I honestly don't know how to explain how tightly rung I am or how frustrated I am currently or how I am currently struggling with other things. Oh yes.

So I am male that's how I see myself as. A straight male. But I was born biologically female, just wanted to get that out of the way that I am transgendered. There have been complicated situations in the past for not telling people.

Maybe it's me, but I've noticed an increase in transgender and genderqueer people on WP lately. This is good as WP doesn't discriminate at all. Welcome.

Hello, Knave!

Knave, as RedRobin pointed out, this site seems very accepting of folks. I was shocked at the identity poll in the Aspie Stats Forum. (I'll go find the link in a moment, it may help you settle in.)

I think at the time it was only 47% who IDed as gender typical. That was very eye-opening. I'm straight male, too. I've always been very accepting of people for who they are, due to me (maybe incorrectly) assuming we had similar experiences. We never fit in, teased, bullied, wasn't sure what was "wrong" with us, etc.)

I love that I'm not alone in the Asperger's, and that I'm not alone in acceptance. I really needed to know that I wasn't alone in this regard. I just don't understand why people don't get judging people for their character rather than what they happen to be.

Regardless, welcome. Let me go get that poll link.
