Hey i am new to wrong planet.

I and a diagnosed aspie since i was about 10 i am thinking. I am 20 now. I have beat odds set by doctors and graduated high school being home schooled and i have been in the work force but not paid wise i have volunteered for a social service organization and was working directly with the public and was pretty much the face of the organization and represented them even by myself a few times. I have been on a volunteer fire department for about 7 months and had to quit because of being treated like crap. and that has inspired me to get my EMT license. I am also looking to make friends that are autistic like me.

Hi! I'm not from Texas but just wanted to say hello and welcome! I am personally so grateful for the EMTs who have helped me in emergencies! :)

I had made the decision to pursue getting a emt license because had seen that it was not only gratifying to those who need the help to know some one was going to be there when they are needed and it made me feel good about my self when i was on my local fire department.

The world definitely needs more people who are capable of dealing with emergency situations! I hope that it will be a happier experience for you... I've been treated like crap in volunteer positions too, and it's no fun! :(

In my opinion there are not enough people that are in the emergency response stuff. It sounds like we have some things in common. I know we just started talking today though.

Washington, D.C., as it were, but welcome!

Sorry to hear about the fire department. People can be real crap sometimes.

Terrell isn't far from me. I'm north of you, I have a shop in Greenville and live outside of town to the north.

I'm a Texan as well, but I'm situated south of San Antonio. Needless to say, it's nice to make your acquaintance.

what is the AS community like where you're at bud? Here...... not so great. I've met only one other aspie in my area and her husband doesn't allow us to associate-- jealousy I guess.... It's not like I tried to make a move on his wife.... NTs are soooo superficial!

I am from Dallas, so I am fairly close. I have found it hard to find someone on here from around Dallas usually.
