Hi everyone!

I've been lurking around this forum a bit for the past few days, so I thought I'd better sign up an introduce myself! I'm 22, female, from the UK.

The reason I've come to this forum is that recently a family member told me that they think I have Aspergers, which is something that had never occurred to me before. For as long as I can remember, I've suffered with fairly debilitating depression, and have always felt like I'm somehow completely different to other people. Aspergers is something that had never occurred to me, but looking into it now it seems to fit with my experiences, and explains a lot- and it's almost a relief to feel like things are suddenly making more sense- but at the same time It's all a bit confusing and scary!

What I would be interested in is hearing from others who have been diagnosed as an adult and their experiences.

This is my first post and I've had a similar experience myself. I felt inital relief then I had my diagnosis. Still waiting for the letter but its been more or less confirmed. Also from UK 36 yr male diagnosis beginning of December. Hope you find peace and answers.
