I've been lurking around here for a while, but felt too awkward to post anything. So I'm going to take advantage of the new year by introducing myself:

I'm a 21 year old college student in California. I study linguistics and enjoy working in backstage theater (I've tried my hand at acting, but I get way too nervous onstage). In my free time, I watch crime documentaries, write stories, and play Pokemon. I've always known that something about me was different from other people, but I always had trouble explaining why. I haven't been diagnosed with Asperger's nor autism, but I believe that there is evidence in my childhood which indicates that I do. I'll explain what they are if anybody asks.

Don't worry about the explanations; you'll find many people will relate to that opening statement already, haha. I'm a self diagnosed Aspie myself, and though I have yet to have it confirmed officially, I'm 99% sure, as I relate a little too well with everyone on here.

Hope you feel at home here, everyone's real supportive, and pleasant here. You'll find that talking about it can be quite liberating.
