i tend to get irritated hearing the radio go on and on and on.... all their ranting or comments seems a lot of noise. is it just me or do others feel pissed with noisy stations?

It is a bunch of annoying noise. I have better things to do with my ears, nothing is a lot better.

I hate radios, my step-dad always put it on as well.
And whenever you get builders or decorators they always bring a radio with them.
They always seem to pick the people with the most irritating voices, and because you can't see them that just makes the sound of the spit in their mouth even more obvious.

I like the station they play on my bus because there are no DJs and barely any commercials. I don't like it when my parents tune into Howie Carr. Talking on the radio just sounds a bit depressing.

Sometimes the talking is ok for me, but only now and then. There was a Richard Dawkins interview on Radio 2 last year - that I could tolerate. Usually I can't stand it though.

What my roommate listens to is noise, and he sings along with it also (and somehow he can understand it too :? )

I remember a time not too long ago when music on the radio wasn't the mass churned crap most of it is now. This was back around 1993, being able to tune in any radio station in green bay, and not be dissapointed in what I heard. Today I can barely listen to the GB stations.

I love radio! Talk, country music, classical music, blues, jazz, rock. . .

I listen to our local all-news station most of the time. It keeps me company, and covers my tinnitus.
