Hello all!
I'm Ren, a teen diagnosed with autism summer of 2015. Since the new DSM, I think I'm classified as Level I High-Functioning Autism, which basically translates to the old Asperger's. Technically, I also am diagnosed with major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and an eating disorder (I prefer not to clarify but I'm in treatment for it so it's all good). I really don't like letting those labels define me, though.
So! I have very few friends in real life, and almost as few internet friends. I'd love to get to know some of you, which is the secondary reason I joined this forum. The primary reason I joined is because I am close to getting a service dog to help mitigate some of the symptoms of my diagnoses. I'm interested in talking to those who either have, had, or are also looking into a service dog.
Other than that, I'm a pretty boring person. I have an amazing girlfriend at the moment, which is pretty cool. I am the proud parent of cockapoo puppy named Oliver and an anery corn snake, Avery Odysseus. Despite whatever gender I marked when I signed up, I identify as gender-neutral.
Looking forward to talking with y'all and have a good day.
