Hi there,

My name is Abbie Elton, and I have just joined your forum. I am currently studying a Masters degree in Autism Studies at the University of Kent. As part of my degree I am doing some research on Sensory Profiles of Adults with Autism, and have posted more about this in the 'general discussion' section.

I was so pleased to see such an active community on this forum, and a diverse range of discussion topics too. Although neurotypical myself, I work with young adults with ASC, many of whom have high anxiety in social situations, yet have a strong desire to make friends, and also talk to others with ASC about specific things they are finding difficult in life. I will be showing them this friendly and interesting forum, and I hope some of them may join.
