At 29, just realizing I'm not the only one....
It's like one of those *boom moments ..
Wrong planet, couldn't have said better myself.
I'm a musician/writer, ideas and overthinking my specialty.
I find myself thinking about light dead quiet at the dinner table amongst friends.
Working my hardest to get along with people when all I want to do is be home writing music...
Not that I don't like people but it's just that no one understands me.. and I don't understand them..
I grew up thinking I was a loser, a failure...
School was a nightmare. I work construction now and it mentally drains me..
After work I like to drive somewhere quiet and sit... Write... Think... Feel....
I've never met a soul like myself before...
A few years back my dad was talking about his "friend" the aspie..
It was about a decade since I seen him last..
Insinuating for me to look into it.. my parents split a long long time ago..
So I did.... It's like I'm reading about myself online.... Aspie... so accurate that I thought that was my name...
The good, the bad.. the ugly...
Friends and family always assumed I was on drugs... you could imagine how much that helps...
I think my dad always knew, I just had never grown up with him.. speech therapy as a kid... learning about emotions smiley faces and silly games I completely forgot about as a kid.. And it all makes sense. .
Wrong planet.. I'm all here.... I just don't click with anyone els...
At 29.....
I sure wish I knew I wasn't the only one when I was a kid..
Happy to meet you all.
