Hi and a very warm welcome to you

. We seem to share alot of the same interests. I love sewing and knitting, make my own clothes(have a sewing room), love sewing pretty much anything and everything(clothing-wise), as well as mohair bears, traditional and modern quilts, embroidery, toys, you name it. My mother was the inspiration to learn, as she passed away when I was five, so my memories of her sewing were very strong, and it was clearly in the genes! So good to have you with us!
Thank you for the welcome! That's incredible that you have such a wide range of sewing experience! I mostly make bags for my knitting and basic clothing for now, but quilting is in my eventual future (I have squares cut out, just having difficulty motivating myself to assemble them). I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, but that's wonderful that she passed along such an amazing gift. I am self-taught for both sewing and knitting, knitting began when I was 17/18 and sewing only began recently when I was 22, but I love them both! I didn't expect them to turn into such obsessions, that's for sure.
