Hi everyone, I found out I'm autistic a few years ago aged 41 and I'm now researching late diagnoses. Does anyone know if I am allowed to post a link to my study on here somewhere? I don't want to break any rules but have limited time to find participants. Thanks for having me!

Welcome.

I guess it can always be removed if needed by a moderator?

Hello and welcome. I'm sure there will be people who were diagnosed late who will participate. But make sure you tell them what is happening with their data, etc. (Not a criticism, just some advice.)

Thanks, it's all completely legit, there's an anonymous link and the study got full ethical approval etc... I'm just aware that some sites don't like newbies that haven't contributed, using the site for research.

I like it here and would like to stay :)

Ah, OK. Glad to hear that. Stick around for as long as you want!

hello Cat
I am a late diagnosis ASD person (ASD of the Aspergers Syndrome variety).
I would be happy to help you with your study.

Why not ask a koderator directly. They will say yes or no.

Hello and welcome to Wrong Planet!

I would definitely suggest asking a moderator directly. I think it's hard to post links as a newbie, anyways, so if they approve they could put the link here for you.

Thanks for all your replies. How do I ask a moderator? Is there a tag or something?

There is a tag under their user ID to show if the person is a Moderator. Suggest you ask Cornflake whose profile can be found here;

memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=41285

If you click on the PM button you can send him a private message.

I've noticed I'm beginning every post with the word thanks so it's in the middle of the sentence this time. PM sent to Cornflake so fingers crossed. Thanks :)

maycontainthunder - your comment thing at the bottom of your comment (tagline? Idk what it's called) made me laugh, and I'm now wondering if my survey asks people to press any key!

It's a signature. You can edit yours in the "My Account" area. I choose to have daft ones but others take it more seriously! You'll notice that many of the surveys posted by members contain an additional option such as but not limited to "Where's my ice cream?" which always get more votes for some reason.....

So you know, my signature is from a very old episode of the Simpsons where Homer gains weight so he can work from home. Today we don't need to gain weight to work from home! :jester:

Welcome to the forums.
I am sorry I do not know if you can post your study, you could always read the rules and if still unsure go to the main forums and ask a mod/admin there.
