Just realized I didn't do one of these when I joined. Anyways, my name is Evan and I've been living alone for the past 5 years in St.Loser, Misery (IYKYK). Classic games, old anime and horror movies are my thing. Mainly just here to shoot the s**t since I lost both parents recently and don't have much family left.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your parents. They were likely very important to your life, even if that wasn't obvious or clear...though I suspect you were aware of it.

Horror movies? If mixed with either Comedy or Science Fiction it might be a movie I'd be interested in seeing.

And, have you gone up in the Arch?

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your parents. It's seems like many of us autistics have little to no family left / in our lives, so you are in good company here.

Mom was especially and she passed in August. Nothing wrong with the splits in either of those genres, really. To be honest, I have not been in the arch despite living here my entire life. I really don't like St.Louis at all but the low cost of living here + property completely paid off in my name to where all I need to do is some renovations and pay insurance/taxes/bills is pretty enticing.

I do have an older cousin helping me out with the things I am terrible at (documents, getting all this insurance BS under my name now that I have a house and another car addressed to me...it was fine when I was just handling *my* s**t but we are getting there.) and a half sister. Half sister sometimes tries to get me to date again but with all due respect I've realized marriage is a big scam especially for a disadvantaged male like me but other than that she is really nice.

My Father was born and raised outside St. Louis so when I was a kid we used to visit about once a year.

I've been in the Arch once or twice (honestly, I'm not sure!). The view from the top is predictably great but I think the most impressive bit about the view is that a cross-section of the Arch is a triangle and at the top of the Arch that triangle points updown  ...so the sides of the Arch are slanted with respect to the ground. It is kind of neat being in a room where the sides are sloped and you can lay on them while looking straight down through the windows. (The windows are small enough I was not concerned about falling through.)

And the elevator ride to the top of the Arch is also memorable. (The elevator shafts are sloped!)
