Hi I'm new
I joined on impulse yesterday but now I'm beginning to wonder...I usually regret impulse but I found this site by accident and it's true, being aspie is just like being on the wrong planet.
I used to feel like I was a human trying to learn to fit in with a troupe of baboons! You can learn their ways, make their signs, and even be tolerated amongst them, but you'll never be one of them. It's not so hard now I know I'm aspie cos I don't keep trying to be what I'm not.
If it matters, I'm a mother of 2 teenage girls: I'm fascinated by medical and ethical issues, philosophy, current affairs and the ways societies are structured.

Welcome to WP!
I spent years wondering why someone would not 'just tell me the rules!'
I'm now more comfortable with my 'excentricities' and trying to be okay with just being me and not trying to fit in.
I hope you feel you can fit in here and find help and support.
