I don't want to make this too long for anyone to read, so i'll keep it basic.

I'm a female in my early 20s, diagnosed with nonspecified Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I also have some neurological problems, mainly memory trouble and mild seizure activity. I'm not sure how much I agree with the diagnosis, but I know I'm definitely not normal. My family isn't supportive at all and doesn't believe there's anything wrong with me.

I joined because things are hard right now and I needed advice and to make new friends. I look forward to talking and getting to know everyone here.

Hi welcome, one thing to remember there is no nornmal we are all unique individuals and those of us on the autism spectrum are diverse and different as those that are not, but with real understanding comes true identity :wink:

I'm sorry your family is not supportive. Perhaps subconsciously your diagnosis threatens them because it would be their fault you have that diagnosis.
