on ur chat when i try and load up the chat i i click CHAT NOW m getting a error i dl java program and still get error is the chat not working anymore or what wrong with it

ok i on it whAT IS NAME OF CHAR ROOM for us is it been long time when i was on a chat so i try ing remmber chat commands are to find all room names there so many on there thanks

Once you've joined the channel, /help will show the basic IRC commands.
Google is your friend for the more detailed stuff.

ok ill look it up what is name of the chat room im looking for i know i type /join #channel name but nothng happened not sure if my ie is blocking it or what i saw BIG LIST OF CHANNELS what is name of room channel for us is ??? thanks

On that Freenode site you have two main boxes: one for the channel name and one for the nickname you want to use on that channel.

1. In the "Nickname" box, type what nickname you want to use.
2. In the "Channels" box, type wrongplanet
3. Enter the reCAPTCHA codes as displayed into the area just below their display.
4. Click on the "Connect" button.

That's all you need to do to connect to to the #wrongplanet channel.

As I was typing this PM I was on the channel, and it was as busy as it usually is with over 100 people on it.
They were all listed on the right-hand side of the screen, with active channel messages appearing in the main screen.
Along the bottom is an entry area for me to type things to the others on the channel.

It sounds like you mis-typed the channel name: it's entered as just: wrongplanet

#wrongplanet the IRC channel is completely separate from Wrong Planet the web site, and what goes on over there has nothing to do with us.
On #wrongplanet the chatops are the moderators and they'll handle anything that happens on #wrongplanet - we're not able to help.

I don't cope very well with IRC: it's too much like being in a crowded room with lots of people talking so I very rarely use it.

i was gonna open a new room with there bot to keep it open but i can try it it will be called AuTisTicS well i was thinking of making A ROOM but i dont think anyone whould go join it im still trying to figgger out how to register the room and get a bot in there i registered my nick cornflake u know how to do that if u like once i do that i can make u a mod for the room it can be u and i run it as i said i got to register the room and then get the chanserv bot in there also let me know how to set up so u have full admin mod power to channel and what nickname ur gonna use and ill let u bring in the bots its been very long time so i forgot all them commands and all it seem so more confusing now then it was years ago when i use to always be on chat rooms that is if u want to its up to u cornflake
oh i maybe offline for a few days or so it DEPENDS how bad this tropical storm beryl is when it hits it i know we are under A tropical storm WARNING right now and its surpost to make landfall sometime sunday night in to monday again it all depends how bad it is and if it knocks out power and all

Trying a Google search with register IRC channel should get more general information.

yeah forget it its to much pain in butt anyway i reg my nick and yet it didnt so forget it its not worth my time to open a room its not like anyone whould join it anyway ill just go to the wrongplanet room to tlak a bit

Probably the easiest thing: it's already there so why not use it?
