Yep - seen and removed, again.

Suspicious activity by this new user.

Somehow Temu got into CockneyRebel’s account.

They didn't get into CR's account - it just looks like they did.

All of the Temu spammers have posted by starting a thread and if someone replies to that thread, when the opening post is removed as part of the clean-up their post remains on a now OP-less thread - apparently as the OP under the retained thread title.
This is the expected behavior for any WP thread.

Because of this effect it's worth repeating here - please do not post in response to any spam.


That other new user was banned and their posts removed.
I caught them as they were posting.

In random discussion there's several threads of the same title, with the OP being a genuine member of the site. Is there a reason for this?

I'm curious as to why I get the message "You are not authorised to read this forum." for pcgoblin's last 3 posts.
Judging by the view count others can open it, and I am logged in.

The moved ones
Mind you, having logged out and in again I've cleared the "posts since last visit" and now I can't find anything.

But the moved ones are no longer shown on the index page.

It sounds like you may have been attempting access via a stale page in your browser, where the posts were removed after the page was displayed.
Pages displayed in a browser are not dynamically updated and content can change in the background.

The error "You are not authorised to read this forum" would ordinarily only be seen when trying to access a PM'd link to a thread or post which had since been removed, and the error occurs because "removed" threads or posts are usually moved to a dungeon, accessible only to moderators.

As for browser pages, PMs are also not dynamically updated.

Edit to add: and we're not alone - I did a Google search on a sample Temu topic title and found their spam is plastered all over the place.

Spam coming again, I'm getting fed up with it. Perhaps Temu are losing out on business or something and are panicking so are spamming the internet with their s**t. Not that that would make me suddenly want to buy from them.

Some indication of where would be useful or better, just report one instance of a spam post and I'll handle the rest.

I've just removed a small batch, spotted before it was reported.
