I don't cheat. Actually, on many video games nowadays, you have to earn cheats. Earn them through sweat, blood, toil and tears.
Maybe, but I'm still firmly convinced that the people who write these games are all mental sadists.

But what is it if not to strive for something. Granted though, the developers of the American versions of Devil May Cry 3 and Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus were probably sadists. And Silent Hill 4 is pretty difficult. As is Metroid Fusion. I'd say Metal Gear Solid 3 is hard, but you get used to it more than the other games I've mentioned.

Is that like Silent Hill? 8O

I think he's talking about a tabletop RPG or something.

It's a games company, according to Wikipedia:

Heh.

Well, it would have been a good joke to play off of, if we'd gotten it. :P

Yeah. AI for games sucks.
At least for the complex ones.
So, they make it easier on them.

No. Mainly historical board games.

Not that funny, actually.
The basic idea is the same.
Economic ones too, which you
could say are "like monopoly".

Just more detail and realism
to the object that they're simulating.

Really, a lot of the early computer wargames
were direct rip-offs from the boardgames of
not too long before. Now, with 3D graphics, and
some advances in thinking about what can be
offered, they're a bit of a different beast.

The reason why I dissed Risk is because of this Red Dwarf episode: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meltdown_% ... episode%29

Quote:
The character of Arnold Rimmer from the TV series Red Dwarf is also an avid Risk enthusiast; he maintains a "Risk Campaign Diary" and enjoys recounting games turn-by-turn to his crewmates.

(The quote is from an article on 'Risk')

What the things do not say is how boring he is. That sequence is about as aspie as Arnold Rimmer gets, as he keeps on recounting his Risk victory regardless of the discomfort and boredom of Lister and the Cat.

Somebody told me today about an add-on called "instant replay" which plugs into a playstation and supplies cheats that can be used to give extra immunity from attack and suchlike. Some games are virtually unwinnable without the cheats that can be downloaded on the computer.

I personally don't like really hard games. Sure, I like some challenge but NOT to the extent where I feel it is impossible to get anywhere with the game. I've never been any good at most computer or playstation games.

Boring would only be in the rear of the reciever if I took a drill to said posterior.

Sometimes a necessity, when running new speakers.

I don't follow your train of thought, and I'm not sure I'd want to. :?
