I think Alex has the power to remove avatars because I've seen it done before. Even if Rich refuses, it'll be taken away.
I also think he should still be allowed to stay because that might've just been a social blunder on his part. We should all try to me merciful here.

I dont think it is a social blunder since he apparently, as someone said, did it on another aspergers forum and was banned, and said he had wanted to be banned... even an aspie is not likely to make a mistake like this...

The best choice is to ban, but leave room open for a possible explanation.

I suggest a permaban.

He ruined a perfectly good lunch of ice cream cake and coffee for me.

I guess he should be banned--but not permanently; he needs to be taught a lesson. :shameonyou: I think he also needs to change his sexual orientation to something other than family members. I think he has really screwed himself up by thinking about that stuff in my opinion. It's not natural.

Yeah, but I would not close all avenues for forgiveness. Maybe at some future time, maybe a year whatever, this person could have grown up. I don't know.

I think it should be a ban. Whether he's been warned or not, it should be common sense to not have a pornographic avatar on a family site.

BTW, I talked to one of the mods and he said that Alex needs to remove the avatar and/or ban him.

Hmm. I've PM'ed Alex myself. Here's hoping. I dunno how you're supposed to remove avatar images.

for this obscene avator i only see one plausable excuse if he does come up with a good one, maybe when uploading he clicked wrong file in harddrive??? but still, if this is the case, be sure you know exactly what the image is of BEFORE CLICKING UPLOAD OR OPEN :!: to prevent any of this in future.

Maybe Alex should promote some of the moderators to full admin status? I'm assuming that these are fairly trusted people anyway.

I care not whether it purposeful or not. He displayed a disturbing image in place thats supposed to be family friendly. Imgaine the outrage if out of nowhere a pornagraphic imaged popped up in a child's film like The Lion King.

yea i know, it is disturbing to see that as an avator, id sure hate to see that if i was some parent browsing around looking for help for an aspie child!

but still mistake or purposeful, this isnt the place to upload that type of garbage, it just shows how mentally mature some people are(not offending anyone here)

I think we should treat him like the common troll--ignore him. He obviously just wants attention.

Uhhh, bad example...

Article on the Lion King, on the subliminal message wrote:
In one scene of the film's original VHS release, it appears that the word "SEX" was embedded into several frames of animation,[29] which conservative activist Donald Wildmon asserted was a subliminal message intended to promote sexual promiscuity. However, the films' animators have stated that the letters spell "SFX" (a common abbreviation of "special effects"), and was a sort of innocent "signature" signed by the effects animation team to the work they did.[30]. Due to the controversy it caused, the image has been taken out of the 2004 DVD and VHS editions

Couldn't help it.

Seriously, though, I'm hoping that alex removes this guy's avatar, and quickly. Has anyone noticed anything about the actual quality of his posts?

And now that I come to think of it, I remember one member, dunno whether he's banned or he is just inactive, had for an avatar one of the most unappealing images, that of an aborted fetus in someone's hand. Soon after I PM'ed him, requesting he change this (this was before I became a mod), it was gone, with a picture error (you know, the cross-in-a-box) in it's stead. But I noticed a quirk of the PM system, that messages not delivered are in the outbox, and those actually read are in the sentbox. His was still in the outbox, so I'm thinking, either he got too many PMs himself, or he got his avatar deleted by the admins...
