I finally solved this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. For whatever reason on Firefox WP was unbelievably slow. With the reinstalled Chrome I'm able to log in and it runs smoothly.

A lot of times these issues are fixed by clearing your cache or reinstalling your browser. I cannot really replicate most login problems but you should also be able to save your login info on the phone so it autocompletes when you need to login.

I can't log in on my phone at all now.
It says "unknown error".
Tried restarting, clearing data, changing browsers, same error message.

What phone do you have?

^ iPhone 5

It goes to the "checking browser" page, then says, "Cannot open page. The error was: unknown error."

??

The only problem I've had on my Iphone 4 ( using safari ) is when the website is actually down but I never log in on my phone. Are you sure the website wasn't actually down when you tried?

^ I could still access it on the iPad, so, no, the site wasn't down.

But it's working again this morning after 4 days of error messages, so

I wouldn't blame the phone if WP is the only thing he was having trouble accessing.

My thoughts are, just don't bother to log in anymore. That would solve one issue with all the trafficking and lockdown that all apple and smartphone filters seem to have.
A developer can't unsolve all generic data issues that have been tapped there from online encrypted ad workshops, and they're only correct in the sense that you need to empty all browser and data caches so that any previous history is deleted and doesn't carry on repeating itself all the time over any confrontation.
