Apparently, in order to keep the mods
from making threats, at the least. Perhaps
to avoid being banned.

Thank you.
Well, this business of self policing sounds mightily to me like schoolyard bullying. But after years of copping put downs from others, I am not going to be silenced and go away as you no doubt want me to do. Seems to me that your little apple cart has been upset and instead of putting up reasoned arguments, you feel the need to belittle and try to shut down anybody who disagrees with you.

Plus, calling mods such as MrMark and TheMachine1 authoritarian simply because they've asked you to pull your head in a bit, is hardly an action that's going to help your cause. The more you try to shut me down, the more I won't be. The worm has finally turned.

1 I'm not seeing the problem with her pulling up old threads. Why is it a problem for you? Why is it so important to you that she not do this?
2 I'm not making the connection. How does this silence discussions and where did she admit it? It seems to me that it encourages discussions of older topics that are of interest to her. Why are you so hellbent on suppressing her posting privelges or violating her right to post without harrasment or personal attack? These threads are not locked. Show me the evidence of Pandora infringing on the rights of other members to post without harrassment or personal attack. (At another site they would add, "or STFU!")

Why does all this take on so much personal meaning for you?

It is how Alex suggested such issues be handled,
by the membership.

What you are doing is NOT speech any longer.
Necroing every god forsaken thread that you
can find, just to bury the discussion that you don't
agree with is no longer an exercise in free speech,
but rather the suppression of others' rights to speech.

Oh, not SIMPLY because of this. Their prior actions
have been along these lines before. Indeed, I stepped
down, both due to tiredness, and to promote accord -
as my views about their methodology was already made
clear.

As to helping my cause? Well, my cause is to preserve the
goals which Alex has tried to express to the staff - more than
once. Goals which I strongly agree with, and ones which certain
people here just CAN'T seem to get through their heads. That mods
should be impartial; that freedom of speech should be protected.
Both, as much as possible.

I'm afraid that NOT challenging the staff on either point
would betray my goals entirely. Just as ignoring what you
are doing, in order to drown out speech.

The issue is the quantity. Like there would be no problem with
a member making a cat thread or two, there would be no
harm, if she pulled up a few. Pulling so many, with the
expressly stated purpose of removing those topics that she
finds distasteful, is merely a form of squelching the free
speech of other members.

I've given you the link before.

Same reason that other issues revolving around
free speech have. I can't really explain the deep
motivations, I don't know them myself. But, 'twould
seem NOTHING is as important in maintaining the
value of a forum, than allowing it's members as much
freedom to speak as possible. Now, I know that these
aren't your views, but if I read them correctly, they ARE
Alex's, and that's what is important.

ADULT FORUM NECRO....

I don't know how much more of an
admission you might want. Seems
cut and dried to me.

She has that privilege, same as you. It's a level playing feild.

Indeed, that's how I dealt with it, as well.
Following Alex's instructions. Even though
the effect is the same as pure spam. It's
too sharp a distinction to make. But, like
trolling, it has to be dealt with.

And I and every other member has the
DUTY to call her on it, when she does it.

Trust me, if this was going on in one of the other
fora, you'd be getting a lot more complaints.

Indeed, if I didn't want to spoil my own reputation
around here, as pandora is doing to hers, I'd show
just that.

Okay, so are we done here? She's gonna bump threads, you're gonna bump threads, you're both gonna refrain from name-calling and other personal attacks?

And everybody, if you're gonna bump threads, put something more autism related than the word "bump."

Thats likely true but if the adult forum has limited appeal were its just largely you and Pandora posting there. You have to expect that a large percent of the control of content will be divided among you two. If it was me I would bump threads I was interested in and refrain from posting in those I was not interested in. Nor would I post
threads complaining about it.

No. I'm NOT going to resort to those
tactics. I'm just going to continue
calling her on what she's doing. Hopefully,
enough other members will do the same,
so that she decides that losing the goodwill
of those who visit that section is not worth
whatever thrill she is getting out of this.

Not much hope, as the opinion of others
just doesn't matter to her. Unfortunately,
it DOES to me, and I'll not alienate the
membership through such actions. I just
want the rationale to be clear.
