I don't mind as long as it gets back on track. But categories are there for a reaosn.

Personally, I agree with zero here - MrMark cares about
his own little threads, and tries to enforce special rules on
them, to the detriment of any conversation occurring. Just
as when I posted something which COULD have been taken
the wrong way by someone in the only thread he was paying
attention to, many moons ago, and he sent me a veiled threat.

Wouldn't you be possessive of your own threads?

Oh, and by the way, it's spelt "Steller's Jay", not "Stellar's".

Make more intresting threads then, its hardly rocket science. Otherwise threads will go off topic.

Ah, glad you're setting policy now.
Guess with Alex back in school, you
guys can really crack down on us, and
show him how this site OUGHT to be, eh?

No. I rather find when ordinary members start whining
about their threads going off topic, 'tis a childish and silly
thing, and usually let them know. When an admin uses
their special abilities to favor themselves, that's a step
beyond - heading into the corrupt.

But, my last name is Stellar. :P

Well, no - but I like the spelling better.

Whay the f**k are you talkin' about? There's 5 pages of conversation there, you just can't get satisfaction!

Why dont you unlock that thread, and make a parallel one for you and your cohort?

Even INTERESTING threads go off topic.
There is a social nature to this site. Personally,
that's much of what I found charming about it.
Given the sheer NUMBER of members who seem
to engage in off topic discussions, and the much
smaller number who complain, I suspect that trying
to enforce this will simply drive another slew of people
away. But, as MrMark seems to think, that's just bound
to happen. Though, I don't know if any of it has, whilst he's
NOT been a mod. :P

Sod you, I don't pay attention to when Alex is in school. Don't you mean uni, anyway? Anyway, I try to think about what he wants. WP is meant to be a safe haven for aspies.

Topics stay on topic as much as possible. If you do not like it, find another BBS.

Yeah, 'twas a nice lively conversation,
until you killed it, telling everyone that
they had to go home because they wouldn't
talk about the topic you wanted discussed.

My, you must be a blast at parties. Though,
you probably don't get return invitations, with
that attitude.

Maybe he can find similarly minded infantiles to blow party whistles and play pass the parcel with...?

Unlock it or not, I do not care. But you are all, I assume, adults, with actual life experience. Act like it.

What do you think? I'm a f****n' aspie! Those who are a blast at parties don't really have the syndrome.

Is your position so limp that you're resorting to trying to insult me here?

And some people are known (to me) for slandering other members, a bannable offense. Now you're one of those members.

If he slandered another member it wouldn't be on these boards because slander is something you speak or is transitory and libel is something you write or is in a fixed format. Besides slander and libel are something best handled by the courts, so that everyone can have their day in court. I haven't seen anything on this board that I think could be found guilty of libel. The vast majority of it is obviously just expressing an opinion, as is the nature of discussion threads in the first place.

What the hell made that divergence UNSAFE?

Again, since this is a change in the
understood (and long standing) policy
here, and it's being enforced for the
first time, perhaps Alex should make
some sort of statement (presumably
a bit more diplomatically), so that the
membership can get used to the fact
that they are not to allow their conversations
to wander.

Actually, THAT thread is probably killed
by the locking. I'm more trying to get
this cleared up, so that it doesn't happen
again.

BS. There are some people with AS, who manage it just about. It might be because they take the attitude of trying with their life, as opposed to whining day in, day out on an internet message board.

calandale, you do not know Alex's mind any more than I do. So do not presume to say that I am putting words in his mouth or contravening anything he has set. It is a familiar and thus contemptible tactic of yours, so kindly do something about that jaw of yours.
