Making it Better: The future of WP
It makes for an unpleasant atmosphere here.
And what do you actually mean by "harp"?
It's a gift.
What can I say?
Isn't harp a cannon?
It is , or was.

Asperger's Syndrome involves social interaction, communication and imagination difficulties such as not being able to relate well with most people, and I feel and think in long chain information streams and clearly you are able to communicate well in short chain ones.
Do you feel and think in long chain information streams or are you gifted with being able to relate in short chain ones naturally (?) ~ because for me it is like trying to put both of my legs in one trouser leg and walk with an even measured gate!

My mental state makes me have the AS characteristic of "preoccupation with order, lists, and formalities".
"Order" must come across in my posts.
That is what I do here.
I am not here for social, political, or autism.
I get "relief" from my condition by engaging in concepts, and putting them into an order in my mind.
Often, I will make lists of a-c or 1-3 with relevant information.
Often, I will post an accompanying picture, because I feel my words are messy.
Thanks for posting this. I've always wondered why the numbers posts were so popular. Makes total sense.
Thanks, I wish more people posted about their autism, and why they participate.
On the surface, it seems like a lot people are actually seeking a social experience.

Of years I have been here, I have not been noticed and I have not seen my name mentioned. When someone would do a thread on me, I got very little responses.
I'm used to not being popular or not liked. It was that way too when I was a kid and I tried different personalities and that didn't work. People can tell when your behavior is fake or when you are just copying others "to be cool." So that might have been my problem right there when I was a kid and why no matter how nice I acted and mimicked niceness, I was still an outcast and still different.

Interesting, thank you for explaining. Understanding and accepting ourselves is liberating. Yes kraftie can be very concise and to the point. I like both of your ways of expressing yourselves. I am a pretty convoluted thinker myself and often shift from one topic to another.

I have noticed you League_Girl. I am sorry that you feel that way. I have an aspie friend who seems to say inappropriate things sometimes. Knowing someone in person helps to see the whole dimension of their personna. My aspie friends (especially the males) are really blunt and ineffectual at written communication they do much better face to face.

I do probably have a male way of communicating since my gender has been questioned online at other places.
I never saw male and female language, text is just text so I would have no way of understanding how does a woman talk and how does a man talk.

It is fascinating that people imagine they know people on the basis of just written statements ~ as it would not apply even with however many qualifications could be attained. Characteristics or traits can be ascertained such as psychological typology and writing style and all that ~ but no matter how many of those may be known they are only a hint of what is to be known.
I have a saying and my saying is if you think a kid is a brat, anything they do will be malicious.
One of mine is that there is the lesser evil and the lesser good as in their own way portray the greater good in each and every person, with the lesser evil and good being the human embodiment and greater good being the embodied being.
Another saying in sarcastic self resignation is "The problem of wearing welding goggles in the thick of night . . . " ~ as used equally as much about myself and as with and about others.
It is a normal disposition in that many people on the spectrum and those who are otherwise divergent do not so much (or at all) receive the facilitation and affirmation they require as children ~ in terms of being individual ~ being that only the neurologically typical in general get that in terms of being part of the collective.
Us strangers in a strange land get more condemnation and negation in terms of being socially 'programmed' (educated) and sociologically 'conditioned' (experienced) with the linguistic narrative of ourselves being more wrong than right ~ so coming into an autistic collective with that programming and conditioning results in this sociological microcosm reflecting the microcosm.

I didn't stand out as much as some kids, but I could never entirely stay under the radar. I was overweight when I was young and got teased for it by the popular girls and I got shunned and picked on by the popular boys because I wasn't good at sports or hockey in particular. It seems like every athletic guy who's parents divorced made me his punching bag, and nobody gave a s**t. When I retaliated I'd get in trouble at school and then again at home. I started jumping them in the bathroom, or knocking them off the top of the playground equipment or behind the portables which usually just meant I'd get to deal with a pack later on, although at this point it was more likely to end in a shoving and yelling match but no real fighting.
I wrote a lot more but I didn't want to make this my autobiography.

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.

have yet to meet someone IRL who genuinely minds when a person is bullied in the usual way-esp kids, apart from their parents at the most. and usually just one parent.
if bullying is overt even then..but at odd times you read of the overt type being put in their place or whatever..consequences..
but again it's the fact that majority tolerates, and accepts, and even defends, bullies.
just as the lie becomes truth --
because outing the liar risks the rest of the chain of deceit / those who benefit from deceit, being picked apart.
unless they're TOLD to defend a certain type of target by someone else (eg media, even if subconsciously picked up with fiction - movies/tv shows) that's when people seem to care. "trending"...
otherwise, hey--
they might even watch someone getting their ribs broken and not care, or even be pleased about it, no matter how educated they are.
must be part of the
survival instinct. follow or be shot down.

Reports of WP's dying are greatly exaggerated.
This is the 38th page about how to make WP better.

to me you have always seemed on topic, and probably good executive functioning for that
with the way you respond concisely and PRECISELY , a smoothness-
filtering out the junk when really of course it does make more sense to - in a social way as this place is meant to be--
rather than taking things out of bounds --
etc.
it may be a learned skill but it's something that is admirable,
when i noticed it in you and other users including kraftiekortie, Temeraire, etc.
