I've beaten him once. Once, mind you. But I prefer FFIX to all others.
But didn't you like Ifrit's back-bending meteor slam in FF8? Cid's abuse of Sheira in 7? Auron's aura of supreme coolness in 10? The voice acting of Balthier in 12?

Oh goodness! I haven't even seen the original Silence of the Lambs, actually.
All I knew is that he was reminding me of the Merovingian.
And I think my favorite might be VI. But at 24 my tastes might be rather dated. 
I think that might have been one of my most passionate perseverations ever. I still have a notebook full of countless details and stats about the game.
I haven't played the newest. Can't say I like the looks of it. Nor X-II.

OK, bad points for each FF PS game.
FFVII: Story seems to hang too much on coincidence. Graphics outdated. Translation needs to be better.
FFVIII: Too much of a love story. Not exactly Nobuo Uematsu's best music.
FFIX: No multiple hit moves. No Ultima useable.
FFX: Voice acting needed a bit better work.
FFX-2: A thinner storyline, but the voice-acting's an improvement mostly on FFX.
FFXII: Storyline a bit too short. More fleshing out of characters needed. Larger world would be nice too.

Ah, VI is the best of the SNES generation of FF games, and if ever updated for a newer console, would leave some FFs for dead.
And you guessed it! It's Gaspard Ulliel playing Hannibal Lecter.

What kind of details and stats did you keep for FFVI? I am kind of surprised that some one else would actually do something like this... but coming from you... maybe I'm not...
I started to make a log of everything I did in every battle. I would write down in detail what attacks I used, and how much damage each one did.
I also had the strategy guide which was falling apart, so I put it in a 3-ring binder. A adorned the front of this 3-ring binder with my own artistic rendition of the fire-filed title screen.

Monster stats, item lists, walkthroughs... some of it I made myself, other parts I downloaded and amended where necessary.
I also had to make certain that there really wasn't a way to resurrect General Leo...

While Anthony Hopkins is marvellous as Hannibal Lecter, I have now got the impression that they (Hopkins and Gaspard Ulliel) weren't THE Hannibal Lecter. I haven't seen Brian Cox as Lecter until I looked it up on YouTube just then.

Much more restrained performance, I reckon, closer to what the book Lecter was. Not to say Hopkins and Ulliel aren't good Hannibal Lecters, or that Brian Cox is the definitive Lecter. But an interesting comparison.
