I've been coming to WP for many months, and I see polls all the time. Whenever I click on "See Results", it just reloads the current page. Other people seem to be able to see poll results, but someone I haven't been able to figure it out. It's not opening up in a different window or anything like that, either.

It's a "buglet"... or "feature".

In order that you are not influenced by those who have voted before you, it doesn't show you the results until after you have cast your vote.

The "See Results" button should do something, I suppose. I haven't looked to see what it does... or rather, doesn't do. If it means you cannot vote if you have peeked at the results, that should be made clear.

Anyway... if you are desperate to view the results, without casting a vote, log out, and then look, as a guest, as they cannot vote.
(But, of course, that doesn't work in areas not open to guests. :()

Oh, I never thought of having to vote first. Ha ha! I guess that's it, then. I just rarely (never?) vote in polls, because I just can't make up my mind about anything.

Thanks.

I have looked at the code... and I can't see why it isn't working. The link doesn't seem quite right, but even when I modify that link to be valid syntax HTML, the parameter "vote=showresults" seems to get lost, somewhere in the "translation". I.e. the PHP code that is supposed to finish up displaying the results, after you have hit the link, is all there, and it all seems correct. Maybe I'm still missing something.

Personally, I only find it frustrating when I'm interested in the topic, but don't qualify to vote (according to who they said they want to vote) or none of the options fit for me. It's a choice between making an incorrect vote, not seeing the results, nor logging out to see them. And sometimes I don't particularly like any of those.

Don't worry, Lau. I don't think there is a problem. I just answered a poll question, and was able to see the answer. If the "problem" was merely that I needed to answer the poll before seeing results, then there is no bug. I just didn't know that I needed to answer the poll first.

Of course, if you want people to be able to see the results without answering the poll first, then that's another story.
