It seems that some posts duplicate, or even triplicate themselves.

I have written some forum software and am moderating a couple of forums, and that happens sometimes.

Usually that is caused by server overload. When submitting a post is too slow, the user gets impatient and keeps clicking the submit button.

I have found it helpful to add a text near the submit button, stating something like "Click only once, even if loading would appear slow. If you click multiple times, you are making multiple posts with the same content."

I use Macs, and use their web browser, Safari. I have no problem with the old version, 3.21. The new version, Safari 4, will repost my message if I use the "back" button to get back to the list of topics. I deleted most of the duplicate posts I created that way, but there could be some remaining.

That was an intolerable problem for me, so I deleted the new Safari and went back to the older version. (actually, to do that I had to re-install the whole OS and not upgrade Safari)
