Please delete my account, or make it stop sending mail to me

Hi,

I have been registered here for years, but I never visit, I don't think I've ever posted anything here and I don't plan on ever coming back here in the future. What I'd like is for the mail I receive from time to time to stop completely. In the footer of the mail it says I can disable them if I log in here, but it already says I'm not subscribed to anything.

Ok here is how to stop messages look in the top right corner of the site. press my account go to edit profile. Scroll down to where the "yes and no" buttons are and make them all that involve mail no. If it does not work I suggest making a new email so the WrongPlanet.net messages don't come up...

They are already set to "no". I've looked everywhere in the profile preferences.

And changing my email address doesn't work (in fact, I just did), as I am forwarding mail from my old account to the new one.

I just want my account to be deleted...

Try changing your email to something bogus. I don't think it verifies email when you change it, so you don't have to change it to an actual email address.

Accounts are not deleted per site policy. You may contact Alex if you wish to discuss it further. I am not sure why you would continue to receive email notifications, but as the site administrator Alex is also the appropriate contact for that question as well. There are a number of methods available to contact him, including: phone, email, PM, Facebook, IM, and others.
