Threateniong legal action on members on Wrongplanet (An Autistic Support Site)

I don't know the details of his charges but I say he probably deserves whatever comes out of it for him and whatever happened is probably deserved...but then that is solely my belief. UGH.

Iamnotaparakeet and I and one or two others have all freely discussed everything related to the matter of butterflies and parakeets, and Iamnotaparakeet now understands (and can certainly correct me if I am wrong here in saying) it will be in everyone's best interest to just lay it all down and let things die here. If Iamnotaparakeet has committed an offense against anyone wishing to do something about that, said individual should pursue his or her own select course of action without making the same kind of error 'keet is alleged to have made ... and further, WP is neither a court of law nor a grand jury assembly deciding matters of indictment.

The big blow has passed now, and that means it is time for everyone to just chill and go set the lawn furniture back where it all belongs.

Funny old situation. I come from a religious forum and believe me when you have different faiths crammed into one forum, and smart scholarly people too, many threads become heated. Many different opinions. Many opposing ideals.

I have seen one locked thread and as yet no legal threats...and that site is not a support forum.

I have been banned from "WorthyBoards" and "Eliyah's Forum", and I had cut my first teeth over on "Zola's Board" where some of the long-timers chewed me up and spit me back out before breakfast one morning the very first time I had ever posted there or anywhere!

You and me, bro, but please just let this one lie. WP has not in any way supported 'keet and a friend of his has been strongly suggesting to him that he ... well, I should not say any more here.

Iamnotaparakeet has agreed to stop the legal threats. I am not sure what your complaint is, we don't ban members for first offenses unless they are of a graver variety than this.

You are right of course death threats would be worse. He hasn't graduated to them yet I guess. Threatening people with legal action against them on a support site that could perhaps at best embarrass, stress, cost a person to defend, create discord in their life and relationships and at worse bankrupt and or land a person in jail and have implications on their ability to find work and so on, not grave at all really. Pretty light and fluffy stuff of no real merit.

Hardly worth making a serious thread about really.

Is that what we are saying or are we alluding to something else by saying it is not grave?

As to for a first offence? Well I posted how many first offences here?

Now that I have been retired from moderating, I will not be compromising anything while commenting here ...

I suspect that mod's use of the expression "graver variety" simply came from the fact of there being no specific rule stating 'keet could not post the things he ('keet) has posted. And as to the matter of "first", that likely reflects something related to 'keet not having any significant priors "on record" behind the mod curtain where such notes could be kept.
