Alex is always never bothing to do his job. If it's that much of a problem, he should appoint someone else to do it.

Alex is doing an absolutely marvelous job! Why, if he were to ban all spammer, then we wouldn't have OWA, grey, and Werbert!

You will have to define spam in great detail. If you mean alot of the threads in random
section where people are having fun I strongly advise against cracking down on people like OWA. How is he hurting people? Hes just having fun. I do not see him bombarding other sections of the forum intended for serious talk.

When people make general attacks against WP status quo I say please, please , please people provide examples. My guess many of you will say OWA. I like OWA. Young
aspie men like him are at the age when things really went wrong for me and I care
about that group of members more than others. Maybe from a market stand point
Alex needs to cater to older people, but from a support stand point he needs to
support the OWA's on this site. Just having a place to belong to is good for such a young aspie male. I care about the future not us old people who are largely obsolete.

Kahazidhea, you are a tolerant and much more well mannered individual than the majority on this site, it would seem. I am grateful to you for that.

I was told that this place was about belonging and acceptance. Maybe there is a majority here that don't really know the meaning of having Asperger's. Perhaps the true majority are those who have some fantastical definition of AS as being the "affliction of the genius."

I would be interested in knowing how many of you are here out of sincere need for acceptance and guidance. The impression I get is that a lot of you are here to seperate your own perceived "higher qualities" from the rest of the world by defining yourselves as aspie even if a doc hasn't done so. It seems to me that a good percentage of the participants on this forum are those who are self-diagnosed and who don't actually know what it means to be afflictd with AS.

Guess what? OWA is an intelligent aspie who is clinically diagnosed, and who is SIMPLY F*CKING LOOKING FOR SOME M-F*CKING ACCEPTANCE here on the "Aspie Forums."

Well, after the recent display of all of you "intelligent" and "understanding" people, I'm convinced that the majority of you are self-diagnosed fakes. This is one of the most amazing displays of typical NT-type, sh***y message boards that I have ever seen.

Yeah thats been my thought in the past about trolls being banned. Yeah their bad but
what percent of the trolling is pure typical aspergers in a young person? Us older
adults who have had more time through trail and error to gain more social skills
in theory can find the right words from our mouths to turn a "trolls", "spammer" or
"bad guys" posts from a desperate attempt at attention(note that is used in a negative context by NT like people here: "he just wants attention")/acceptance, that leads to
mutual misunderstanding, and the young aspie /"bad guy" being "attacked" then him having a meltdown, then getting banned. (yeah I know I failed English and you spelling gramer nazi's and have ADHD) to turn that situation around to where the guy finds
a home. Its like those of us that are closer to NT telling these guys dudes get more NT
or get outta here. I think the real truth is while some of us olders members can spot
problems we(me to) have no solutions. Since I have no solutions to anybodies problems
I'm not going to run you off I will still hang with you and paint graffiti on WP's walls with
my brothers.

Okay, okay, here's the situation for the self-diagnosed 'fake' Aspies. They may be self-diagnosed, but at least they know that they're similar, very similar, and it is always nice to talk to others who you can relate to. Another thing to think about is just how gosh-darn hard it is for some users to actually get someone who's both qualified AND smart enough to give them a proper diagnosis. They could be Aspie and yet never have the chance to prove it. Lastly, WP is an open site, which means that literally anyone can join: Aspie's, Auties, NT's, Schizophrenics, heck, even people wanted by the police! While not everyone is desirable, there are a vast majority of all the people in the world who are more than welcome here. It's always nice to get a different perspective on the story.

Machine...true about age being a part of it. As one who has homeschooled an Aspie (guess who) and has known him since birth and at the same time knows the situation of self diagnosis, as I score slightly on the aspie side of things, bla bla bla...basically I am pretty sure I can understand all sides of the situation...I want everyone here to know that Asperger's isn't just the affliction of the "different." It is a SERIOUS situation that has a vast spectrum...i.e. some function better then others and it isn't about just being different or being smarter than the majority. My nephew, during our schooling together, read and understoof Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" at age 11, where I still can't fully comprehend it. At the same time, I am more socially adept, as are the majority here, it would seem.

I am deeply concerned at the cliquishness here. This is supposed to be a community for those with Asperger's Syndrome...not those who simply are smarter/more clever/more "different" than the majority. It is a serious illness and I don't like it not being treated as such.


KBABZ...yes I understand. Especially in the US, there aren't many docs who understand AS. What I am complaining about is that when this supposedly AS community has a problem with typical AS features, why is it an AS community? If you don't welcome everyone who has the same problem as you, no matter the level, why don't you just start a community of "people who are different?"

And yes, I'm being a smart-ass, but what else do you expect after such a horrible, nasty attack on a single human being? I'm sorry, but you can diagnose yourself all you want -- and like I said, I understand as a 'possible' Aspie, but to judge and to be cruel based on traits that are definately Aspie is a sign that you need to be in another group. Maybe not you personally, but anyone who has judged another who is on the Autistic Spectrum as being weird...well, f*ck off.



There obviously needs to be more education about AS in this community aside from the examples of Einstein, Gates, etc. They are /were freaks of nature in any community, and none of you can say that just because you have AS, you are on the same level as they are/were. In fact, if you can function socially as someone with AS, consider yourselves lucky.

And don't be judgemental. After all, isn't that why you hate NTs so much?

Yeah the way I look at it DX is not that important. The common thread is social cognition problems leading to poor/delayed learing of social skills. One we all
may have started with different levels of impairment but a few facts are clear
as we get older we get less impaired (learn to adapt to the NT world). Which
means older people here tend to be less impaired than younger people. Also its clear
that the level of impairment tends to worst in males than females. So that means
we have a true spectrum here. I'm seeing a high percent of the conflict coming from
the imbalance of impairment in the people here. In another thread a 14 yo guy wrote
a simple statement about a break up and a 30 year or so old aspie man and women
who both had mates seem to lable him as a nazi-war criminal. And then even the 14
yo old girl involved got mad.Again impairment in females is typically less but we can only guess in this case. But onething I do not need to guess is about is the 14 yo
had a hard time finding anywords to explain the situation and likely could not
communicate with her . She thought he was a real ba$tard but It just might be an extreme imbalance in social skills of the to. She was cute and will find a mate when
shes olders but of all the people involved in the thread the 14 yo boy has the bleakest
future. Yet he likely is feeling very unhappy with WP. Where will he go?

I don't have anything against one winged angel or any of the other spammers. I have no way of knowing anything about them because their countless posts don't tell me anything. Would I really be helping him if I encouraged him to think that he can entertain himself by constantly annoying people and nobody will ever get annoyed with his behavior?

I know how rough it is being a teenage aspie. Let them post about what's going on in their lives, the ups and downs, the good and the bad, and the problems they're trying to deal with in their lives and they'll get all the acceptance and support here they can imagine.

Let them post the craziest things they can think of and we can enjoy a laugh with them. I don't want them to go away.

Maybe instead of singling out individuals, we could just have a posting limit for everybody. I'm not sure that anybody needs to post more than, say, twenty times a day.

You learned something clearly from your own post here about OWA. Re-read it . Look up the definition of aspergers. Yes If i'm not misstaken your about 50 years old? What has he done that is annoying? Wait my bad I just looked up the definetion of aspeger and found the word "pedantic " you can decide if it applies to you more than OWA. Yes social skills improve for us old aspie ba$tards but somethings like pedantism seem
to be habits many of us can not break. Yes if aspies who are pedantic to the nnt
degree read a thread intended for fun show up they will get annoyed but I often
wonder if they show up because of their own masochistic pleasure they get from having their pedantic panties tied in a knot? Has OWA asked you for any help?
What are us old ba$tard here on WP to throw our viagra bottles away because we
get a natural erection by spreading our wisdom to the young? What if OWA does not
want to hear our non-professioal opinion on how he can be more NT so us that are
more NT want get annoyed by him? I said on WP before only time will help. Give
OWA 35+ years to learn on his own time table and not yours to be as wise as you.
