I have been getting a lot of tracking cookies alerts from Wrong Planet? My cookie tracking alert is going off everytime I log on. Why are tracking cookies being used?

I am all right with it as long as any of my personal information is not used.

what's the name of the cookie you're getting because 3rd party advertisers sometimes serve cookies to track how many ads you've clicked on.

Did you install a new web browser? Tracking cookies are harmless and don't track much of anything other than whether or not you're logged into the site. there is no other way to manage logins.

No. I have been using the same browser before. Its just I do not trust cookies. I think others using the site do not trust cookies either, especially people suffering of Aspergers and Biopolar who are using the site. I think that you should reassure people using the site that their information will not be used against them

Still you should reassure others that information gathered by the cookies is all right.

cookies can't gather information. the site can only check if the cookie is there so you don't have to login on every page.

I just do not like my privacy and personal computing being invaded and watched, but I will take you at your word that any information gathered will not be used against me or anyone who uses this site. I would think that the other people who use this site would agree with me. I have always thought cookies were a form of spyware.

I live with it but I just want the others to be aware that they are getting cookies when they log on.
