Guys I thought I'd alert you that your site has a pretty serious virus.

Often times on some threads the page is automatically redirected to this page: http://update1.flashplayes.info/Player1 ... ffer=false

Which automatically downloads a file called "setup.exe".

I use a MacBook, so thankfully a .exe can't run on my machine, but for Windows users it's pretty dangerous. It tricks the user into believing they have to update their Flash player. The URL above is not the official Adobe link to their Flash player, and Adobe would never force a download.

It appears that they are doing this via the advertisements on your site. Nothing to do with WP, but it's more to do with the ad. platform you use to earn revenue. Contact them directly with the link above and alert them one of their publishers are acting maliciously. A number of your users could have already been caught by this.

Then it's not WP that has the virus. Your thread title is misleading.

The third party ads service WP uses is being exploited by a malicious marketer/user/person. So, whilst it's not directly the fault of WP, it is having an impact on WP's users. And whilst WP continue to display these ads WP users will continue to get infected.

What I meant by "Nothing to do with WP" is that WP isn't being exploited directly. Any website using the third party ads network is also likely being hit by the same problem. But it would be WP's responsibility to address the issue for its users by either contacted the ad network (which I believe is AdChoice) directly, or temporarily removing ads.

But, for sake of correctness, yes my title is misleading. That's not to say the issue should be ignored though.
