Just completed writing a post. There's nothing unusual about it - it's plain text, no quotes or BBcodes, non-controversial subject, not-locked thread that I've posted on before, utterly benign content. In 400 posts, I have never had a moderator warning or started a flame war. I just wanted to say "hi" to someone I know from another forum who has joined us.

"Sorry, you have been blocked." (Big red cross) - for security reasons.
[I ran virus and malware scans, just in case - nothing]

I'm happy to edit it if I have accidentally used some US slang that we're not familiar with here in the UK, or whatever. Would just be nice if the error message actually told me what rule I have inadvertently broken, that's all. My psychic powers are in the wash today!

I would say it's a glitch in the system.

I'm sure you didn't use any "flame war" type of material.

Just try again in a few minutes.

Thanks Kraftiekortie.

Managed to get it to post by deleting one of the paragraphs, so I'm guessing an over-eager parser found a "word within another word" kind of thing that I didn't see.

Yep....if a post is more than a couple of paragraphs, there's the strong tendency for the Captcha Monster to do his dirty deeds.
