CAPTCHA isn't trying to insult you

I just want to make something very clear; the CAPTCHA system Cloudflare uses is nothing more than Google's "reCAPTCHA" system. Tons of websites use this, and no, they're not calling you a "robot" because you're autistic. The reason they use the term "robot" is because they're trying to filter out computer programs that spam discussion forums in a robotic manner. THEY ARE ROBOTIC PROGRAMS. By requiring people to fill out a captcha, they are ensuring these robotic programs don't get through.

Now of course, the reason why so many people have trouble posting here has to do with some sort of a conflict between WrongPlanet's forum software and Cloudflare. Cloudflare merely utilizes reCAPTCHA as its captcha system. I am not sure what the problem is exactly, but whatever the problem is, it's making it so that Cloudflare is having a hard time telling legitimate users from bots. I don't know if anything can be done about Cloudflare, it is a trusted anti-DDOS system used by a number of websites, but I think WP's coding could use a massive overhaul.

TL;DR reCAPTCHA isn't trying to insult you, there's just a problem with WrongPlanet's forum software.

I experience this problem less than many on here, but I block many cookies and scripts religiously, and I have my browser set to delete all my cookies and logins when I exit.

Well, if the CAPTCHA is trying to filter out the bots, then it's not doing a very good job at it because we still get quite a bit of spam.

That is quite true, and I did point it out. But it's not reCAPTCHA's fault because theoretically, it should be impossible for a bot to bypass. That said, it is possible that there could be a bug in it or the forum software that the spammers are exploiting. In fact, I'm pretty sure that that's how they're posting on here, either that or the people spamming WP are paying people to fill out the CAPTCHAs for them (and yes, this is actually a thing).

It's so annoying, it is preventing us to post sometimes.

You know robot means slave right?

Well, "robotnik" means "slave", but the verb "robotiti" is "to work". "Robot" actually comes from the former, but it's hard to entertainingly feign outrage at not being called a slave.

I, for one, welcome our cybernetic overlords!

I have been having bigger problems with captcha every since. But today it has been taken to a higher level, because I am getting the question in Chinese now. (my Chinese hardware I guess). I hardly understand any Chinese, and can hardly decipher any characters, so I am in real trouble. Any suggestion on how to get back to the English version?

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm no longer having captcha problems! I think someone fixed it!

Me neither. However, the problem with getting logged out still persists.
