It's out of order, and it means nobody has ever spoken, because their input has already been deleted from history.

Please quit it. This never used to happen.

It's messing with peoples' own voices, and even recently a mod edited the title of the post and the post itself to add their opinion, NOT fact. This meant the OP lost their voice. This isn't right.

Please stop it.

Is there an issue lately or are mods just deleting posts now and saying nothing? A few of mine have disappeared lately.

A thread which was reasonable about men posting in the women's board was removed while one which has lots of insults in it was left up and locked.

Awful decision. And it's becoming a regular occurrence.

While I understand how annoying it can be to have a post removed or edited , what do you suggest a mod do if a post breaks a WP rule.

I recently had a post edited becasue I quoted a post stating it was a personal attack , the offending post was removed and my post was edited to remove it from my quote - quite right too

My memory is not the best but my recollection of that thread was you & one other poster were insulting the OP of that thread for his opinion and he gave as good as he got ( I cant remember who went low first though ). You and the OP both felt passionate about your position in the debate and I can see why it got personal , I also understand why the thread was removed but I cannot answer why there is inconsistency unless it's a personal choice from the mod involved.

I know the thread which you're on about. That thread was not removed it was locked with all the insults there for the world to see. I don't take any of it back as I was having fun, and I don't expect the other person to do the same either. However, my point was that was left up for everyone to see whereas a very civil discussion about the same topic, in the women's board itself, which was attended by both genders, was removed without any reason or any open reporting.

Why would you make a decent thread vanish and leave the bad one up for everyone to see?

Told you my memory was bad  That is a completely different story and I didn't read the thread in question ( I dont frequent the ladies locker room :P ) , so it's a question only the mods involved can answer and probably not here either , it's a PM only topic if you follow the rules.

That's not what this thread is regarding. I had a thread where a mod changed the entire title (without even PM me to discuss why and how it could be changed) and other mods didn't have a problem with the title. When I mentioned it, it was put back to the original title meaning it shouldn't have been changed in the first place. It was a Trump thread.

I had another post where some of what I said had been removed (what I considered to be an important part) and the rest of the post was kept. I told the mod to delete the entire post because I do not want my words deleted. It was a disagreement that I was having with another member, but no offensive words - just normal words of how I was actually feeling at the time. I don't really know why the mod chose to delete those particular words either.

Obviously there's 2 sides to every story but from your side it does sound like the MOD may have been a little zealous in editing the thread title , we're all human and make mistakes , the problem was rectified and you should feel vindicated. As for a post being edited without knowing what was said ( dont post it either ) I cannot comment but my gut feeling from the words you used "just normal words of how I was actually feeling at the time." it sounds that you may have been skirting on the boundaries of rule breaking - This is just my gut reaction and I do have wind at the moment so I could be wrong

Yes - as nurseangela said. Here's another example:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=334872&p=7411418#p7411418

See the OP's post as well, it had a moderator put their opinion in it, as well as originally adding [Misleading] in the topic title. That was unfair.

Titled edited on 2nd January 2017 to reflect the (lack of) content in the linked blogpost.

Of the studies listed, most do one of the following:

- Examine neurotoxins, not vaccines.
- Demonstrate correlation, not causation.
- Do not mention autism.

The title was therefore highly misleading; immediately debunking was completely appropriate to change how people "frame" this story.

If the moderator wanted to add their opinion, they should have replied, not dictated what the OP was meant to be, that's completely against the point of a forum. It is against anyone rightfully being able to add their opinions to a discussion.

Agreed. The mods if they differ in opinion should state so in their own post, not hidden behind anonymity thus both censoring the user and deciding what statements, studies, opinions are valid and what aren't in WrongPlanet.

I wish a mod would leave a note in a post that it's been edited by a mod so everyone knows it's not the member's words. Also if they wish to delete a post, they should alert the member about it because they might think it was a glitch or think they didn't post it but thought they did.

As I said to Nangela , we're only human and the title mistake was rectified.

Now , the MOD adding their opinion to the 1st post is a little wierd but I can understand why they felt the need to do this ( Since joining here , I can see that misinformation about Autism annoys a lot of people ) but I agree with you, it should of just been a separate post.

I agree
For complete transperacy perhaps it would solve a lot of problems if it was made compulsory that any post modified by a mod should be datestamped with the Mod involved.
Rather than just deleted a post perhaps the post should just be edited and state that it was edited by the Name of Mod , datestamped and reason for editing i.e Conduct Rule 1.
