Well, I am on week 3 so far and loving it. I am only taking 2 classes this semester which I was annoyed about but it's probably for the best. English and Psychology. Both are fun with good Professors. Homework is ok, if this was HS still I would not have done it but I have a new view and thus I am doing it. Essay due Monday but I am not worried.

Socially it's fine as well. Had no problems with other peers and I do hang out with quite a few of them between classes and during English break (its a 3 hour class). Seems everybody and their mother smokes cigarettes but oh well.

People said it was going to be tough and uneasy etc, but I am doing great. Made a few friends (not good ones but I hang out/talk with them) and oddly enough have managed to sit still in both classes without fidgeting or needing to take a walk or such.

Also joined a fitness center near me. Going to be working out 3-5x/wk for 2-3hr/time so that will be good. Everybody there is friendly and its a fun place.

Not sure why everyone said college would be so hard. Maybe if I had 4 classes it would be a little more stressful. I may up the load to 4 next Semester (though English is a 15 week class done in 7 weeks so its pretty intense (3 essays, final paper, assessment paper, and I think another in that time)).

Hope everyone is well.

Are you going to a community college or a 4-year college/university? I ask because taking 2 classes is very minimal. I am going to a community college and I also took only two classes during my first quarter.

Actually, mine is based on quarters. If you're only taking two classes for the whole semester (and you think it's easy), then I fully recommend that you add one or two more to your schedule. That is especially if you can balance your friends, homework, and fitness center!

Im going to a community college and i am taking 4 classes. All of this cost under 2500$, compared to 5 classes at my old college which was like 13K for the full year. So i assume a full year at my community college would be under 5000$.

Junior College. Closer to Community. I don't have a great Academic record so I am taking a few classes and aiming to get A's in both, then transfer to a 4 year. Both classes and such came to just over $1k for the semester. I'll see how I do after this Semester.

I thought that college was going to be tough, but I was surprised how easy it was. Not all classes were easy, but most were easier than my HS ones. My first year of college, I got high GPA and I barely had any homework.
