I'm going to college but I have to many computers, gizmos, and gadgets to live at college, plus I don't want people bugging me, when I want to be alone. Does anybody else live at home?

I do, but not by choice. I live at home because I cannot afford rent for an apartment or house on my own. I am currently on a desperate search for a reliable room mate that can also tolerate my weirdness.

I live at home. My college is only about 10 minutes away from the house. As for when I transfer to another college, I may have to get an apartment depending on where I go, but I don't want to.

When I was in college I lived at home at first. Then my house and college were destroyed by a natural disaster and we (about 1 million "we") were all homeless, so I ended up moving to the other side of the country and living in a dorm for the first time at age 19. I'm glad something happened to make me do it, because I was so afraid of moving out, I don't think I would have otherwise. It ended up teaching me a lot of life skills.

I still live at home, unfortunately. My source of income currently is a casual job within walking distance from home. If I could find enough employment in the city where my university is (even an inner suburb) I would move out in a heartbeat.

I'm living at home while attending a community college. I hope to get a dorm with a roommate once I transfer to university, though. If I can't find a dorm, then I'll settle for an apartment on campus with a roommate.

I live at home with about a half hour bus ride to the community college.
My goal is to graduate and be debt free!
I prefer quiet environments and living at home gives me that privacy.
I havent really adapted to the real college life of partying and going to bars but I have a good friend with AS who also lives at home and we hang out on weekends and watch movies.

It's also good to have my family there to support me during college.

I don't live at home. Quite frankly, I was quite happy to move out the first chance I got. Still go home frequently on weekends, since it's only a two hour commute away.

I am not going to college for a year and a half but I plan to live at home. The college I want to go to is really close to home.

My BF is still at home during college, and when I go to college, I plan on staying at home (though I will pay some rent). It's more common then you would think.

I went away to college and now I'm living at home for grad school... Living away was very difficult at first, but it turned out to be a great experience. If that's an option, I'd recommend it. However, there is absolutely no shame in living at home. Especially with the economy being what it is now, a lot more people are doing it.

Yes, I've already been to college and I just commuted to college because the nearest college isn't far away from home. I lived on my own for about two years and now I'm going back to college in September but I live with my parents again.

I do, sort-of by choice. My university is only a few miles away from home, I'm still quite young, and I only have a student-worker-type job, so I can't afford an apartment at the moment, anyway--but, again, my university is only a few miles from home, so having an apartment at this point in my life would be kind-of superfluous.

Also, living at home has allowed me to spend less time working and more time studying. By living at home, I've saved enough money to do a second major with relative ease, and paying for graduate school (next year) won't be nearly as much trouble.

I would love to move away soon, but living at home does have its benefits.
