When I was at school I had a hard trying to do lessons I didn't enjoy.
For instance I loathed French, I took it at GCSE level because I was unsure what I wanted to do asside from music (which they didn't want me to do it, so I took drama).
Anyway, at first I tried I really did try to settle down and get the work done. But alas French was totally alien to moi.
So I would often act oddly. For instance once I arrived late and was reproducing New Orders 'Blue Monday' using by mouth to emulate the 'fat' sound of an Emulator Synth (as used by New Order at this time). I was told to leave the room, and the teacher began to enquire whether I had ADHD.
I needless to say I got a bit offended.

Other lessons such as 'Leisure and Tourism' -which I was made to do. So I spent my time never working. Though reading about music, and teaching myself the fundamentals of reading music.
The teacher's thought I was capable of produceing high marks, yet I wasn't bothered as I didn't enjoy either subject.
For instance I intially produced high marks in Measure and Borism in spite of my low efforts.
In French the first Mock test we did as a class I got the highest mark (albeit a high C).
I was abusive towards my teacher (I told him to f*ck off) as he did ask me several times to stop reading my copy of UNCUT. I was highly absorbed in an article about the supicous death of Brian Jones.

I believe these lessons also made it difficult for me to concentrate in other subjects. Therefore I didn't achieve the results I wished for.

Well my personal lessons of purest loathing were Art and Graphics. In accordance with not liking them, I decided to do no work in them. at all. Unsurprisingly this didnt endear me to those particular teachers

I was put down as arrogant by a few teachers, who in attempt to get me to do work they would flatter me. They would say I'm more thn capable and people less smart would do better than me if I didn't work.
Flattery was ineffectual.

I was feeling boring or bored anyhow and hung my head down, did not concentrate, obviously, and was making thoughts of my own or felt sleepy even slept and waited for the break. The lessons I did'nt like were biology, chemistry which I could.nt understand, geography, espacially history, and the lessons I liked were mathematics, chemistry when I could understand, and geography but not history

I fell asleep, or look somewhere else, or write or "draw" something. But mostly I fell asleep.

I read a book. Unfortunately it's usually not the textbook for that class.

I used to read UNCUT, and I taught my self the fundamentals of reading music in Leisure and Tourism.
I used to sometimes sleep.
We used the computers, and I used this helpful web site -that also has an interval ear trainer- it was http://www.musictheory.net

I used to just zone out in class and hope I didn't get called on. If I was called on, I could sometimes BS may way through it, or just got it wrong. I would often just go off into my own little world away from everyone else.

There were times when it caused me problems so in order to keep one foot in the "real world" around me, sometimes I'd draw or scribble to keep myself alert. That didn't work too well either, but at least I wasn't as lost when called upon in class.

I just space out, or browse through the textbook if I'm feeling extra energetic.

Depends on the class. If I'm not doing well I suffer through it.
If I am doing well I make a game of correcting and one-upping the teacher (or if I like the teacher and it's not their fault then I show up my classmates).

I get way too distracted with stuff I don't like. Thats why I'm glad I'm majoring in something i'm interested in college (computer science).

College is a lot easier than high school since you're studying what you choose.

I usually get frustrated, because it's like impossible to ignore someone who's lecturing. I can find plenty to do on my own, but their persistent, commanding voice keeps pounding against my defenses. I usually end up doing stuff really lame brained, because I just can't function when someones talking at me, unless I want to listen to them.
