Too true! I work for a large company with about 20 IT personnel and I can count on one hand the people in that department who probably DON'T have AS--they're all pretty awkward and misunderstood by most. Even the director of that division may have AS.

Also, thank you for that job interview advice--I'm not current searching for a job, but I know in the past I've struggled with questions like those (my tendency is to be blunt/honest!)

I work in IT. Thankfully most of the people I work with are very understanding.
I suspect many of them may also be on the spectrum. It tends to be "us" (the actual engineers) and "them" (the rest of the company - sales/marketing/HR).

This was with a big national company, with a huge focus on drinking the Kool-Aid and their Corporate Culture. I'd probably end up being better off with a smaller organization with a bit more room for eccentricity.
