Again, find an entry-level job. If you're able to hold it down and go to school, you can get a better job because you'll have the qualifications and the experience.

You should work at a mattress place LOL

Probably too tempting, though!

Seriously: I think it's COMMENDABLE that you don't want to go on Benefits. Keep up the excellent attitude! It's a very inspiring attitude within the Autism Community.

If you're located in a big city, especially, you should consider going down to a temporary agency. I'm sure there are still some that give you early jobs like loading trucks (where you have to get up at dawn). I had mentioned that previously.

If you want a job now, you have to start looking now. Fill out those online applications! Visit temporary agencies. Are you in London? I'm sure there's plenty of temp agencies there.

Also: Pursue obtaining more Qualifications. It would be great if you could obtain at least five GCSE passes, then go on for your A-levels.

Would you have good public transportation to Holt? Or to the largest city in Norfolk (I forget its name at this moment)?

There's at least one other poster here, a very smart woman, who also lives in Norfolk.

I'm pretty sure Sainsbury's has a need for a stock person working graveyard shift (something like 2200-0600hrs). Don't tell anybody about any Asperger's diagnosis; this is not the level where one could assert one's "disability rights."

I would also ask at the local library; or maybe even Jobcentre Plus.

I truly wish you success, sir!

I would still try to augment my qualifications while you're working, though.

Maybe you could go into the Sainsbury website, or Marks and Spenser, or similar websites, and apply on those websites.

Come to think of it, maybe a visit to a JobCentreplus might be productive. Maybe they could place you in a stock position at a supermarket or a fast food joint.

If you have a driving license, maybe you could drive a bus.

You could "re-take" the GCSE's, or you could take GNVQ exams, which can give you GCSE equivalencies. The courses in the GNVQ are more "practically"-oriented than "academically" oriented. You could gain qualifications that way. Didn't you say you were going to a "college" to learn computer repair?

What "qualifications" you have now arereally lacking, and is not conducive to establishing a career for yourself. At this point, you have neither academic nor vocational qualifications. You could get both within a couple of years or so.

There is also this website called "connexions" that you could research.
